Maybe I'm old fashioned but the idea of an app based bank account like Monzo or Starling would scare the life out of me.
I don't trust my mobile phone to be a reliable friend when it comes to banking. Maybe that's just because I'm still catching up with using the darned thing for more than phone calls, text, some pictures and WhatsApp.
There are times when a computer has advantages. I do online banking and only sometimes go to annoy the branch to apply for something major but that won't be a lot of things as there are often better offers for home insurance and such elsewhere.

Phones are just too easily lost or stolen for me to want to bank on them.
Agree Florence. I am not altogether happy with online banking, but sometimes that is the cheapest or only option. It is useful to have someone to go to discuss things with; even over the phone isn't the same as being able to go into a branch and really discuss something.
Think you can do quite a lot of banking with Coop at your local branch, but can't really talk to someone about any problems I suppose.

I only use Coop as an emergency extra as they are so far away, Their website isn't the easiest to access either.
Can't fault Nationwide for ease of access whether local, online or phone.
