I must say tinned beans are a good idea. If I make pea and ham soup I use dried peas, but if I need something like haricot beans, tins are far easier. In the case of red kidney beans a lot safer too.

Certainly with regards to cooking times, tinned beans are good.

I admit to having deviated from eating out of the stores in the last two or three weeks. But needs must for a bit. Spendthrift supported a local artist but my - prices

Do you know, this eating out of the cupboard more often has cured a lot of "nibbling". The Saturday drop by after the change of library books was not cake for a change.

Not doing cake at home and a regime of savoury does change the taste buds.

Not sure I would ever go for savoury, as not keen, but as we have had to cut down on sugar, I find a lot of things too sweet now. I try to use dried fruit or brown sugar if I need sweetness in something. A more complex sugar and more complex and less sweet flavour too.
