Son had a fitted microwave in a very inconvenient place over the main oven in the bungalow they moved into, so managed to get it out, and we have it now. It is in fact, better than the one they already had, but we use it a lot. At least husband does; since we got that and the air fryer, he does quite a lot of cooking now. I do the clever stuff still.

This down sizing thing is catching. Next door neighbour is under orders to take life a little bit easier. She has a room to redecorate. You should see the "stuff" that has come out of there. One of the large household general waste bin out for tomorrow well full and a generous amount in the half empty bin from her neighbour on the other side.

We were sat in the sun in our respective gardens this afternoon supposedly drinking coffee/coke when neighbour decided to look in her shed for space so that she could clear mower out of the greenhouse to allow for for some tomatoes which I have to pot up for her.

I suspect that this tidy up will just allow for more junk in the future as she admits to hoarding instincts. Whatever, she's lovely.

Long pause. The garden has been undergoing a redesign. Over half of what has gone/is to go is in the garden waste bin for emptying tomorrow. We are talking a hefty and overgrown shrub here that I was given free some years ago as a small monster. It's an eyesore - I saw it and thought it shouldn't be there.

I have started cleaning bike bits ready to sell. This is quite a long job, not just because there is a lot of it!
Things need to be cleaned, checked as ok ( if not they join the box to go to the blacksmith in Carrick Artists Collective for his artwork) identified , priced and listed.

There is a large Cycle "Jumble" in Manchester Velodrome in January usually...I won't be ready before then.

Could you take the stuff you have dealt with already to it Gz? That way you get a bit of money and a bit of room and perhaps the rest will be ready for the following year. Sounds a very long job.

It is a long job, I should have enough by January. Hopefully I can shift two complete bikes and most of the frames before then.
I'm on the organisers list..he just emailed me about the August one, but I should be in France then, and being outside in Manchester, weather and results can be variable

January might be a bit awkward too, but hopefully you will do well.

I foresee another call for a local van to visit the local tip at the end of the gardening season. I couldn't carry it all on the bus (well 2 buses now) and they don't allow foot traffic into the tip anyway.

There may be a few knackered household items but not as many as the last time. Shame the family moved - they used to include my crap along with theirs periodically.

Am about to dig into the wardrobe of now unworn items. Threw out two pairs of trousers this week and need to explore what has gathered (often unworn now due to change of lifestyle).

If you don't see me for some time I've got to the back and found the doorway to Narnia.

Well that was a depressing wardrobe clearing. The doorway to Narnia is not at the back and a very large bin bag of clothes not even fit for the charity shop removed. Nothing matches anything now mind.

I remember in the old days of blogging I followed an allotment holder who kept a very fashionable scarecrow who changed outfits depending on the charity shop reduced rail.

Didn't need to call a man with a van in the end. Neighbour took the knackered shredder to the tip along with her broken mirror. She and her sister are sure they can clean up the large heavy duty pan to keep for one of their family members who is always burning pans.

Have a few other unused catering items but not yet will the posh scales and the hand blender go elsewhere. The Win10 computer that failed has been taken away by the techie who supplied it. For scrapping most likely.

There is probably a lot they can get out of it, so if it makes you feel better, most of it will probably be reused.

Well that bit of downsizing almost hurt. I've let go of the CD collection. It's years old and with the departure of the Win10 computer, nowhere to play the stuff. I looked at getting a decent CD player but "not at that price". Someone round the corner has taken them away. It happened fast. Probably a good thing or I would have changed my mind.
