Me and 370...there seems to be a lot more elephants about on weekends.. just now it was a large herd full of elephants..click on something and walk away and hope it didn't time out....making posting a test of patience...and then all of a sudden instant load....

Still hit and miss...me and over 500 this morning and every click taking 3-4 minutes to load...but then as you say MR it can be instant.

Elephants travel in herds

Thanks for all the defence work Jema. I just wish they would go away and we could get back to "normal". I'm sure that their nuisance is putting people off this forum and others too

I just logged in, wrote a reply to the latest post and was asked to log in again when I pressed "Submit".
Not a big issue, just thought I should report it in case it's a symptom...
And I just had to log in again for this post.

looking at how long things take to load, even when it is loading quickly, some very long threads do take a long time to load....
is it time for Wildlife #2 and Three things today #2. ?

Yes, I think it is. We can deal with that ourselves I think.

Perhaps when admin has time there can be some form of close put on long topics so that they are left there for future reference if thought to be valuable. Or otherwise removed to free up server space. Used to be a discussion topic in the "private admin space not for public view" when I was admin elsewhere. Just a thought.

I don't think long threads are much of an issue.
