well what it says on the tub

better value than tins
a lot nicer than tins

made from over and undersized peas from the frozen food stream and what seems to be ham shank

to do a home made version would probably cost more in ingredients and a lot more in time

a good base for pie and peas, peas with extra pig(left over roast pork, kabanos etc)

ace with Parmesan , very ace with lots of ground pepper corns/allspice

a very good attempt at the traditional peas pottage of pre industrial brit peasants
